    Default Strange msn messenger contacts

Each day I sign into msn messenger, I see 2 strange contacts
    requesting me to add them.

    Anyone with similar issues.

happening to me as well i reject them but theres a next 1 each day... If i do accept its a bot saying some crap about webcam shows... I never use my main email when signing up for anything...

Says : Go to -Website- And enter your credit card number so we can verify your age... It's annoying.

Malware infects some user's computer. Malware searches hard disk and grabs email addresses stored in files and addressbooks. Malware sends these addresses back to cybercriminals. Cybercriminals sell addresses to spammers. Spammers enlist malware writers to create IM spambots. IM spambots use harvested email addresses to spam those addresses that correspond to IM accounts. End result is you get strange contacts requesting addition to your messenger list.

I have been getting these requests as well. I sadly made the mistake and added one of them - the very first one. Blocked and deleted.

Haven't gotten any requests but I've gotten messages, about 10 of them from 10 different females offering webcam shows and giving me another profile of hers I must visit. My MSN domain name is different yet I get the same rubbish *sigh*

A lot of those messages that people keep forwarding to each other are actually email address harvesters... u can check one of them for urself to see how many email addresses are actually in them.
