T-1
A dedicated phone connection supporting 1.544Mbits per second.
Consists of 24 individual channels each supporting 64Kbits per second
Each 64Kbit/second channel can be configured to carry voice or data traffic.
T-1 lines are sometimes referred to as DS1 lines.

A dedicated phone connection supporting data rates of about 43 Mbps.
Consists of 672 individual channels, each supporting 64 Kbps.
T-3 lines are sometimes referred to as DS3 lines.

Have you ever wondered why most software pirates use German based internet shells? In Germany OC-12 pipelines are very commonplace.

in denmark and belgium, the boys i know pack 10mbit dsl as standard home services. :'(
