Yow, MSE getting some big props and high praises since it came out. You people saying MS has gotten Windows 7 and MSE right? Is the world coming to an end? Hell freezing over?

For those of us who use free anti-virus, maybe you can give this softy a try. Who knows, you might make the switch.

Microsoft's history re: security has not been good. I don't think I can trust them in that area.

I know I know. Really hard to make that switch. Trust just gone, even if experts say their product is good. Don't blame you at all.

actually.... I have been using it for the past few months. I dont remember the exact history, but i believe the engine was obtained through some acquisition so technically M$ didnt create it. I have had no issues with it, it seems ok, I dont even notice when it is doing a full system scan, the system doesnt take a hit like it did with AVG.

Running it on a production machine for the last few months.. caught a few threats. Minimal footprint. Just works.
