    The function (Fn) key combination Fn+F8 toggles most laptops between their display modes. Usually a laptop has three display modes: LCD only, external display only, and both. By default, a laptop is usually set to use the LCD only display mode.

    Correct Option(s):

    a) Use the Fn+F8 key combination.

    Incorrect Option(s):

    b) Replace the laptop's video card. - If the laptop's video card had failed, then there would be no display on the laptop's liquid crystal display (LCD) either.
    c) Replace the monitor's video cable. - Trying the Fn+F8 key combination is quicker than replacing the video cable.
    d) Update the laptop's video driver. - You were able to set the Display Options for the system to use a second monitor, so the video driver should be fine.
