    B - Safely remove hardware THEN eject the card physically.
    The trouble with learning from experience
    is that the test comes first and
    the lesson afterwards

    Even though they are hot-swappable, it is recommended that you stop PC Card devices using Safely Remove Hardware before you remove them from the system. Stopping the device first ensures that all operations are complete before the device is no longer available. This will prevent data corruption and failed operations.

    Correct Option(s):

    b) Stop the device using Safely Remove Hardware. Remove the device using the eject button next to the PC Card slot.

    Incorrect Option(s):

    a) Stop the device using Device Manager. Remove the device by pulling it out of the PC Card slot. - You stop devices using Safely Remove Hardware, not Device Manager.
    c) Don't stop the device. Remove the device using the eject button next to the PC Card slot. - Although it is not required with hot-swappable devices, it is recommended that you stop the device with Safely Remove Hardware before removing it.
    d) Don't stop the device. Remove the device by pulling it out of the PC Card slot. - Although it is not required with hot-swappable devices, it is recommended that you stop the device with Safely Remove Hardware before removing it.
