    Category (CAT) 5 Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cables provide speeds of up to 100 Mbps and are the lowest category UTP networking cable that can do so. CAT 5 UTP cables use 4 pairs of copper wires and RJ-45 connectors. This type of cable is the most common type used in home and small to medium sized companies.

    Correct Option(s):

    b) CAT 5 UTP

    Incorrect Option(s):

    a) CAT 4 UTP - CAT 4 UTP allows for a maximum transmission speed of 20 Mbps.
    c) CAT 5e UTP - CAT 5e UTP allows for a maximum transmission speed of 1 gigabit per second (Gbps), but is a higher category cable than CAT 5 UTP.
    d) CAT 6 UTP - CAT 6 UTP allows for a maximum transmission speed of 10 Gbps, but is a higher category cable than CAT 5 UTP.
