Default Shipping to Jamaica [How much did you pay?]

Wanted to start a thread like this a while back and forgot. I am always interested in finding out how much total it costs to bring in certain parts and ppl are always saying they bought something through quickmail or whatever but never state how much it all cost.

This thread is for that. Use the following format:

    Bought:
    US retail Price:
Total Paid in JA with shipping:

That thread should shed some light.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".

When my Tagan Black Pearl hits Jamaica, I'll tell you how much it whips my wallet.
I use a i3 laptop that runs World Community Grid all day.

Am... no. This is for ppl to have some reference when they want to budget for importing parts. Ppl can come here and estimate what they might end up paying based on what others have experienced over time

Good idea. However, for this to be an effective thread we'll have to limit posts to info on actual data rather than discussions on rates and which carrier/shipper is better or why people ought/shipped what they did.

Please break this down for us. How much is the actual cost+shipping & also customs duty.

I'm thinking about importing a Motherboard, CPU & Memory for an i5 build but, this depends on how much I would have to spend on duty.

what was the total in $US for these items? if you can provide cost information (retail cost and total paid in $JA to recieve)for each individual item that would be excellent.

Well I'm not sure exactly of the break down....as a friend of mine made the order and handled everything.

I paid $97,000 to place the order (total cost plus shipping from newegg). When the stuff came in i paid another $30,000.
