    Your computer has a generic driver for a regular keyboard. Any basic functions of a keyboard should work without installing any additional drivers. However, you will need to install the appropriate drivers for the keyboard in order for all special functions to work. If the keyboard is able to use USB or PS/2 connections, you can use either of them with full functionality.

    Correct Option(s):

    a) You need to install the drivers for the keyboard.

    Incorrect Option(s):

    b) You must program these keys yourself to get them to work. - These special keys generally will work after you install the correct drivers.
    c) You need to plug the keyboard into the PS/2 port. - The keyboard is functioning correctly so there would be no need to plug it into a PS/2 port.
    d) Your new keyboard is defective. - The keyboard is functional and therefore not defective.
