A new camera phone form Samsung has been leaked out today called the SCH-W880. The device is definitely a camera with a cell phone feature tacked on rather than the other way around. The camera portion of the phone has a 12MP image sensor and a 3x optical zoom.

Other features include a 3.3-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution, HD video recording, HSDPA data access, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The phone also has an integrated DMB TV tuner making us think it will never be offered here in America. There is no word on pricing or availability at this time.

The AMOLED 12M also supports 1,280 x 720 30fps video recording, and can apparently shoot, save and be ready for the next shot in two seconds. Samsung have put digital-camera style controls on the side of the phone, just to make photographers feel at home, plus there’s touch autofocus, tracking and a “smart auto” mode. Onboard memory is 4GB, plus there’s a microSD card slot.

Well, there's a global version coming in the beginning of next year and that might actually land in a store near you. It will look just the same but will drop the T-DMB TV receiver, which has little use outside of South Korea anyway, swapping it for the more practical Wi-Fi and GPS. Supposedly, the global GSM version will be allegedly called Samsung M8920, but that has yet to be confirmed by an official source.

What you need to know is that the Samsung W880 will be a feature phone, running on whatever version of the Samsung TouchWiz is the latest at the time of its release.
