    Torrents are small files that point to big files that you can download using a client on the BitTorrent network. More to come. Was just racing Leoandru. I win!

    Torrents are meta info files that contains the information necessary to download a file from the bittorrent network. you can find the following nformation in a torrent

    * length: length of the file in bytes (integer)
    * md5sum: (optional) a 32-character hexadecimal string corresponding to the MD5 sum of the file.
    * name: the filename of the file.
    * piece length: number of bytes in each piece (integer)
    * pieces: string consisting of the concatenation of all 20-byte SHA1 hash values, one per piece (bencoded raw binary string)

    Also the torrent tells a bittorrent client where to find the tracker thats tracking the file.
    The tracker as the name suggest tracks all the people currently seeding or downloading a file.

    First up. get a bittorrent client i would recommend Azureus. Then go to a website that offer torrents. for example you can get naruto torrents here http://a.scarywater.net/aone/. Download the torrent file then use the bittorrent client to open the torrent and it will do the rest for you.

    @nder - How childish
    Anyway like nder said they are small files bout 100kb the most.

    So lets say you want a big file like Matrix trilogy, half life2..... you would search for the torrent file on a site like suprnova.org,torrentbits, torrentreactor etc... and after downloading the torrent, a client like bit torrent or bit comet would start the download.

    Hey Virus, where you been? Suprnova.org got busted by the RIAA And if you keep suggesting downloading stuff like the Matrix, then they might get you . Or worse yet, they might send the Twins!
