    I will omit A and D as those seem to be extreme steps.

    I will go with B

    The monitor's display was working correctly before you updated the video driver in order to run the new photo editing application. Since you first started experiencing this problem after the update, you should enter Device Manager and roll back the driver. This will return the video adapter driver to the one that was previously installed. You may then attempt to find the correct driver for the device, ideally by downloading the latest one from the manufacturer's website.

    Correct Option(s):

    b) Enter Device Manager and roll back the driver.

    Incorrect Option(s):

    a) Replace the video card with a new one. - The display was working normally before you updated the video driver, so there should be no need to purchase a new one.
    c) Reboot the computer, Press F8, and select Last Known Good Configuration. - This option would have fixed the problem, if you had not restarted the computer and successfully logged on. Last Known Good Configuration is updated after you have been authenticated.
    d) Reboot using the installation CD, press F2 when prompted, and insert the ASR disk. - The Automated System Recovery (ASR) is used to restore system files, registry settings, services, and disk configurations. It should be used as a last resort when experiencing system crashes.
