USB Drives Vs. Hard Drives Vs. DVD and Optical Media

optical media will forever live on solid state disk are too expensive and they really not worth the money ..i would rather have 32gb external hard drive walking around with than a 32gb flash drive cause at th eend of the day flash drive are prone to voltage hits from pc no grounded properly i have know many a flash drive been killed by pc lol my laptop fried my flash drive and there have been other cases

isnt an usb flash drive practically the same as a external hdd? uses the same voltage from usb header and same transfer rates. so what is your point?

Will USB drives replace DVD media and hard drives? I was watching Click on BBC and heard they have 250 GB usb drives now. Why bother with DVDs or storing stuff on your hard drive when you can carry files with you? Suppose you go to someone's house and you want to get a file from them and you have no burners, maybe the burner went bad or not there at all. Just copy the thing to your usb drive and take it with you. No DVDs neded. I think the hard drive's days are numbered and so are the desktop PCs. Too big and clunky. A change is coming.

well u can always give that friend or co-worker or family member u don't trust a dvd, especially if you suspect that they have viruses or something unless u gonna ask them to buy the flashdrive and u load it up an give them
