Under "Edit my Info" there is something called "My Barcode" which allows other users of BBM to scan your 'barcode' and invite you as a contact. No more need to type or manually enter data (pins etc)

Haven't tried this feature out just yet. But looks pretty cool.

Also, you can back-up and restore your contact list from your device memory or media card.

Barcode Exchange works by just scanning the image with your phone camera. Even works if the image is on the pc. I tried it on crackberry and it worked.

Pretty cool....Is this the new look of Blackberry? Will Barcode exchanges replace our current Pin exchanges? I guess we are getting a taste of OS 5.0 and all the goodies that will be in store for us especially on issues of raw functionality and speed

I have no issues. Been testing barcode scanning and location sharing with the crackberry peeps. All working like a charm. Threaded sms feature though I think will be enabled with the OS 5.0 release
