I need my iphone 3g upgraded with 3.0, its on the 2.28 baseband, i jailbroke and unlocked it myself with yell0wsnow, i cant be bothered to do the research and install 3.0 so am willin to pay to get the work done, i only have one additional requirement is that i be allowed to watch the proceedings so i can hook my other phone up...

3g could be unlock long time base band 5.8. Now with the release on fridaynight all iphones should be able to be unlock now thats what u need to find out.Originally Posted by techdude

Like i said upthread i did the unlock on this phone myself using yellowsn0w, but i have heard of phones losing the unlock wwhen upraded to 3.0, so i need expert service....

Yes if you upgrade to 3.0 you will lose the unlock, but only temporarily. There is an announced Ultrasn0w unlock coming for 3.0.
So if you can wait for that an have a legit sim, go ahead an upgrade. if not stick to 2.2.1 until better comes.
