    My bad, sorry.

    A restore point will be created when System Restore aware applications ask the system to create a restore point before the installation. This will allow you to use the restore point to restore the computer to the way it was before the installation occurred in the event the install has problems.

    A restore point will also be created when you install an unsigned driver. During the driver installation, a message will appear to inform you that an unsigned driver is being installed. If you proceed with the installation, a restore point will be created so you can restore your computer to the state it was in prior to installing the device driver if any issues arise from the installation of the driver.

    A restore point will be created if you use the Windows XP Backup program to restore files from a previous backup. This point is created in case the restored files in some way conflict with or change your current system files. Using this restore point will restore your computer to the way it was before you restored the files.

    Correct Option(s):

    a) Before installing certain applications
    b) Before installing unsigned drivers
    d) Before restoring files from a backup using the Windows XP backup program

    Incorrect Option(s):

    c) Every 12 hours by default - By default, a System restore point is created every 24 hours as long as the computer is on. If the computer is not on, then the restore point will be created when you turn the computer on as long as 24 hours has past since the last point was created.

    Soo... Does this "computer is on" requirement apply to hibernation? I like to think of my computer as almost always on (haven't restarted over a month now), so does that mean restore points are created regardless of whether an actual shutdown was done vs. hibernation?

    Hibernation or sleep mode is not considered 'on' in this case.
