    Default RAID (mobo)

Most of the new Mobo's have RAID as a usefull feature, but how many of us actually use it for its FULL potential instead of just a way to get more IDE devices on our systems?

My board for example has a jumper you use to tell the board what you want the extra IDE controller to function as, whether RAID function or just regular IDE function. You may have to check the mobo manual to get the location of the jumper or perhaps it could be a BIOS setting.

I just use it for my second HD... For me it would be a waste of time to use it for backing up, when that space could have been used as aditional storage...
