Duke Nukem Forever gameplay leaks

In the midst of news that 3DRealms is closing its doors and how Take 2, amongst other publishers is looking to buy the rights to the already legendary Duke Nukem Forever sequel, a trailer has leaked showing gameplay and various models within the longer than long-awaited game.

We can’t help but feel infinite sadness at the mere thought of never seeing good old Duke, but nevertheless, if this trailer’s the real thing – then someone please buy the rights and bring it on, as the trailer gameplay looks positively awesome. The original soundtrack, performed by trash-metal legends Megadeth, is also still in the game, as well as Duke’s ever-entertaining catch phrases, suggesting this is the real deal.

On the other hand, this could be interpreted as another publicity stunt which would cause some hype, attract potential buyers and possibly boost the price. Honestly – we don’t care, we just want to finally play it again. Please?

Despite rumors and statements to the contrary, 3D Realms (3DR) has not closed and is not closing. 3DR retains ownership of the Duke Nukem franchise. Due to lack of funding, however, we are saddened to confirm that we let the Duke Nukem Forever (DNF) development team go on May 6th, while we regroup as a company
