Angry iPhone Wi-Fi failures caused by battery heat?

Many people think that the problem is caused by the iPhone overheating, and some go so far as to place their iPhone into a refrigerator to speed up the cooling process. (We don't suggest that you do the same; refrigerating your iPhone could cause water damage and void your warranty.) We recommend letting the iPhone cool at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes, or until cool to the touch...........http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19512_7-10218183-233.html

By default, the 625MHz processor is underclocked.

We generally download and install multitasking utilities (such as back grounder) so we have our Instant Messaging apps open in the background, while we runing some processor intensive game in the foreground.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the hardware. I believe the problem is poorly coded (unapproved by Apple) apps.

I saw a thread once however which illustrated steps (in the terminal) for reverting the underclock to the regular stock speeds.

I'm just reminding you that our poor little iPhones have only 128MB of DRAM.
