^^ um how wel does the unlocked X2 perform? VS when it was still a "X2"

"imposter quad core" lol! Intel has unlockable multiplier while AMD has unlockable cores lol very nice overclock though. hope it remains stable for you.

had my setup Running @ 3.9Ghz (my highest OC on Stock Cooling) 3.8ghz 24/7 Fully stable....did 2 Bios updates since then...all this OCing making twitch to go Do it again....will Post it a bit

EDIT: so fast forward a couple hrs n here i am with my humble but disappointing OC of 3.8ghz on stock cooling with load temps of 66C.





for some strange reason prime95 is unstable but if i run pretty much any other benchmarking app itl run aight but benches and ting aside back wen i 1st did it i used to encode videos that took 6+ to render and did all nighters in some other stability apps OCCT being one a them... Looks like its time to get me an aftermarket cooler....thinking of the Cooler Master v6 GT or the Noctua DH14 or the Corsair H100.

EDIT: 2.....o crap i loaned a bredrin my other stick of ram and also my bios was flashed recently...think those have sumn to do with the system being less stable than it was

its leaps and bounds better than when its at X2.... its literally almost exactly a 50% increase. + the overclock..... makes it totally worth it since at the time when i got this it cost me 100 US.

I have had this oc'd @ 3.7 for over a year now... its stable. lol tried 4.0 but was never able to get it stable. made the system fly though....

O zeen hmm.... i should try this wid a x4 n try unlock it to x6....but yeah look how long AMD have unlocked Multipliers...Intel's K series eg 2600k is equivalent to to AMD's Black Edition Processors (In unlocked Multipliers of course)

I believe there are lists online compiled of the processors that can be unlocked.... for the life of me i cant remember where though....
You can always google it and see if the x4 you want to try it with has such a capability, as far as i know its mostly the X2's and X3's that are unlock-able.

boy i naa hold my breath again yaa man AMD let me down bigtime with BD ill w8 till Piledriver drops then Intel Answers then make a decision after that
