    Default Black Ivy Overclocking

Stock w/ Turbo w/ HT ON

Overclocked to 4.6GHZ with HT ON Stock Memory Speeds

Working on bringing down Load temps... Just need to tweak some settings, after doing that should be able to go up to 4.7-4.8GHZ... Keeping HT on raises the temps and requires a bit more voltage and tweaking to keep it stable plus I am using 16GB of ram (4x4GB) which puts even more stress on the IMC hence requiring more voltage

Stated overclocking, so far I am at 4.5 ghz @ 1.20 volts with HT one. Hopefuly I can keep that going once I get the rest of my RAM, I am only running 8gb atm.

    Main system: Core i7 3770k @ 4.4ghz, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB, 16gb Corsair DDR3 1600 RAM, EVGA NVIDIA Geforce GTX 680, 2x 1tb Samsung Spinpoint F3, Kingston 64gb mSATA SSD
    Tablet: iPad 3 32gb

Unless you have a golden chip, to get to 4.6 with HT on, may require 1.28v. I got 4.5Ghz Stable @ 1.20v as well.. Running 8GB of ram will allow you to get higher especially on ram overclocking. I have to bump up the voltage on mine to keep it stable due to the fact all ram slots are populated...

Also Keep your temps below 90C and your voltage below 1.3v, if you must yo can go up to 1.35v BUT no more.

I have my ram at 1866mhz up from 1600mhz need to do some tweaking though.

    Follow this guide:

Yeah I think I got very lucky with this chip, sadly I don't really have the cooling capacity to push it much further. I am hitting about 71c in IBT on average with my H80 in a room with an ambient of about 30-34c. I have a suspicion this chip could benefit from lapping, but I am not in the mood for lapping brand new equipment. When I replace my Antec Two Hundred case with something bigger I might upgrade to a H100 and lap the CPU when the time comes.

Suggestion is to change the Fans on your H80 to fans with a higher static pressure and see if that helps with temperature, I am looking for some now... You can purchase the Intel Tuning Plan for $25 which gives u a replacement CPU if you damage that one by overclocking etc

How was the Q6600 for you? Was it overclocked? It's been great and i've yet to find a game that can max it at 3.15GHz.

Going for 4.7-4.8 soon, getting some new fans for my cooler, that have higher static pressure
