Please note everyone, that Flat Screen Monitors are usually CRTs. LCD montors also constitute flat screen monitors.
HOWEVER, Flat Panel monitors are always LCD or Plasma screen monitors, never CRTs. Please don't confuse them.
I had mentioned before that LCDs can sometimes give the illusion of a better picture quality. This is because of the straight 90 degree angle at which light is emitted from the LCD monitor. The angle in reality is a little more than 90 degrees. But, beyond that angle, the illusion disappears - along with the picture. CRTs emit light in almost a full 180 degrees, making visibility possible on a CRT at almost any viewpoint.
Yet another reason to stick with CRTs.... :P
