Xbox 360 outsells PS3 by 2:1

Microsoft's Xbox 360 console has sold over 28 million units worldwide, 8 million more than the Sony Playstation 3.

According to figures from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 is ahead of the Playstation 3 by one million units in Europe and by 7 million in the US.

However, both consoles are being outsold by the Nintendo Wii, which sold 3 million units in the UK and 10.17 million in the US last year.

my take on this, Xbox 28 million in 3 years (Nov 2005-Dec 2008) avg 9.33M per year, PS3 20 million in 2 years (Nov 2006 to Dec 2008) avg 10M per year, so the PS3 not doing too badly, not sure why people are saying the PS3 is doomed. Is just needs a price cut now to really take off, even 50 bucks

sony needs to start making there own games again for a wider market if they plan to stay or catch up in the game business.

microsoft says no blu-ray player for xbox 360 as it is not highly requested by users...and will add to cost

Microsoft has no problem selling an extra peripheral for the 360. They might not have struck the right profit percentage deal and said Fk it. Not like the hddvd was built into the system either
