A diploma in computer system technolgy or compta a+ cert
Well, it depends on which diploma. Which one are you talking about? You were specific with the certification by including keywords Comptia A+, please do so with the diploma (eg. Utech, NCU, Infoserv, VTDI, etc). Just tell us what you are interested in and the type of job that you intend to get.
For entry-level pc mechanics job i would go for the A+ certification.

Go for the diploma, as it is closer to do the degree after (you can use the diploma for employment and after go for the degree).
The Comptia A+ is just an add-on.
