Ipod Touch 2nd Gen - Can't connect to some free wifi's here

Anybody else had this issue with their 2nd gen. Ipod touch/Iphone (2.2 Firmware)?

For me, it picks up the signal in both Sovereign and Cuddyz (the only ones I've tried), but it fails to connect... there some kinda special setting that we need to use?

yea a password, think u need to purchase it from one of the stores

Erm... As far as I'm aware the one in Sov doesn't (didn't) have a password. But As of late I'ven't been able to connect there properly...

The ipod prompts for a password before connecting to the network, if it's protected.

A couple weeks ago it'd prompt for one in sovereign - cause there was one. Then, the issue woulda been finding out what the password was. Then, about a week later, I tried again and no prompt - just wouldn't connect. I asked the cashier there if there was a password/specific settings, and she said there was no password (and you just bring your laptop and you should get connected).

Same thing at Cuddyz. There's no password, just... won't connect. So, I'm looking to see if anyone has been able to succesfully connect at those places recently.
