The resume showing is nice and all buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt do you want all your PERSONAL information on there like that?

PS. Professional Assets need to go into a cover letter. Also, put the # grade you got beside each CXC Subjects it will help market you better.

lol. I'm sure he welcomes both positive and negative criticism. After all, it would be for his benefit.

get rid of that...people often use this because for some reason they still teach this in school...and other people use it as a page filler. None of the above will better your chances of your resume standing out.

    OBJECTIVE:

To strive for excellence in whatever area or field I embark on. And thereby becoming an asset to the Organization, my Community and Country of employment.
have to be careful with putting an objective like this...that line marked in bold would tell me you dont know what you want to embark on...often this field is left out because it usually points out a spcific career goal...and at times may be a bad thing to specify.

    EDUCATION:

    2007-2008 Kenilworth HEART Academy

    2002-2007 Anchovy High School

    SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

CXC passes: Electrical Installation and Social Studies.

    AWARDS/CERTIFICATES RECEIVED:

Certificate of Attendance(x2), Team Jamaica and Trainee of the Month (Skill Area).
This can all be put together...in a format like

    School Attended:
Subject or course passed and grade/achievement/awards:

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2008(1 week work experience) Caribbean Institute of Technology
    Position held: Computer Technician

2007(3 weeks work experience) Montego Bay Fire Prevention Unit
    Position held: Assistant Secretary

2006(3 weeks work experience) Sandals Mobay
    Positions held: Junior Technician
this is where you "sell yourself"

Under each place you works, detail out what exactly you did there example:
2006 Sandals Mobay Positions held: Junior Technician
-Performed routine maintenance and repair on Computer systems
-Provided 2 level support to all employees
    -On call support

I would leave out the duration because they do seem short...all they need to know is that you worked previously

    HOBBIES:

Using my computer, experimenting and troubleshooting electrical and computer problems, socializing with people from all walks of life and also practicing photo editing.
Now this is something that will make your potential employers snicker or draw more positive attention to you, unfortunately with the way you have yours it would be a snicker (jsut being honest). Using my Computer doesn’t say much and the same with socializing with people from all walks of life how would benefit the company?

However the good parts are the experimenting and troubleshooting electrical and computer problems and practicing photo editing, it just the way you put it that needs work. If you have to put a hobby, put something that would show an employer that you are into IT and are into it enough to start projects to further your knowledge. So for your Photo editing, you can say "Advanced graphic design with Photoshop CS3 and Indesign". Or even if you’re playing around with something like linux, put that.

I actually have a manual from a course I did here that has updated templates for resumes.
