    waste .... if it not clocked at 2600 or better the benefit of ggdr4 will not be reaped

    well it doesnt seem like a waste to me... ddr4 is higher clocked and can be oced further than what ddr3 can do

    the extra latency introduced by GDDR4 vs GDDR3 would have to be combated with at least 500 Mhz more clock speed for data to be pumped out at a faster rate and for the customer (us) to derive some benefit other than a GDDR4 sticker or GDDR4 bragging rights. But there are other unseen advantages as well such as lower power consumption, cooler card and lower production costs (the benefit of which we may or may not see). My hope is that this card has a lot of memory overclock headroom in it.

    ok so what would you say about the 3850 and the 3870
