I'm a graphic artist and I'm working full time from Odesk now. Work is work no matter how it comes and if you can lock down a full time job on Odesk why not do it. I'm making 20g more than my last full time 9-5 job, and that's with the added bonus of no transportation expenses. It won't work out the same for everybody, but it can work.
