Is it just me or does this tool need some work? for example; sometimes you want to edit just a road section, but it renames all the connected sections. sometimes you want to edit a road that joins an intersection and it edits all the roads that join that intersection. as a result road names are extending to adjoining roads.

As stated it does that, there should be updates that allow you to edit the roads in sections, until then leave these roads. Thanks and keep labeling

THANK YOU MOD FOR MAKING IT STICKY

Google recently updated their maps with users submissions from mapmaker. Nothing for Jamaica yet tho. http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/2...n-part-ii.html

There is a whole heap of placenames appeared in Google Earth which are either mis-spelled, or in inappropriate places.

@VRTECJA: If you can moderate, can you please correct the spelling of Port Maria (currently Port Mania) and Galina (currently Galiana). Also, someone has littered around 6 pushpins for "Golden Seas Beach Resort" in the hills overlooking Oracabessa, which need to be moved to their real location. And that is just one small area of the country!

I'm very concerned that this thing is getting out of control. It'll soon be so inaccurate that it will be a joke.

Well it seems that this thread is kinda slow but I just wanted to add a little tool that might help someone adding somewhere that they know physically but can't find so easily on the map. NOTE: This only works with Blackberries. Point your Blackberry browser to http://www.sumojamaica.com/coords.php and you'll get your current latitude and longitude. This uses GPS (not cell towers) so it only works on the newer Blackberries (you'll get a message if you phone isn't supported). Also, since its GPS, it takes a little while for the first lock (a few minutes), so you'll see 0 for lat and lng initially. Just wait and the page will reload with the update values. Hope this helps...

With the changes to the roads in Montego Bay, there will have to be many edits of road direction including two-way to one-way, roads changing direction, etc.

The changes can be found here:
