LMAO - Thanx for that one NESTERSAN - needed a good laugh. Some people just dense man..........But if it work for him leave him be. When him can't play something I wont say I told him so.

On another note - what U using, ATI or nVidia? I need someone to test the hardware video decoding on an ATI card.

For ATI - the cards must have UVD support (Unified Video Decoder). See link above and/or listing below. I you have one of those cards or later, please run the test and let me know. Also, please read the WIKIPEDIA link above.

Hmm, well I guess it makes sense to upgrade. I think this should do the trick
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131324
It has ATI Radeon HD 3200 onboard and a AMD 780G Chipset. Also has displayport and HDMI as bonuses

For CPU AMD Athlon X2 4850e 2.5GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 45W Dual-Core Processor. That should do the job easily at 2.5GHZ and at 45W makes nice power savings for the HTPC.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103255

Add 2gb of ram for 30 and that should be a nice HTPC for $170. drop in all the other essentials from my build, PSU, Case, DVD-ROM.

    Any thoughts?

Having SERIOUS problems with CCCP and MPC-HC....

I am trying to get it to put the load on the Video Card instead of the CPU like u explained... i did all wat u said in the walk through but nothing seems to work.

    Whenever i select "H264/AVC (DXVA)"

then go to the Play > Filters option.. these is no MPC Video Decoder, instead there is ffdshowVideoDecoder instead of MPC Video Decoder...

However if i was to select "H264/AVC (FFmpeg)" instead of "H264/AVC (DXVA)" then i would be able to see the "MPC Video Decoder" option instead of ffdshowVideoDecoder...

I have reinstalled the whole CCCP thing over and over and restarted countless times... so i just want to know what is the next step...

How can i get this to work... And i did the test with both Max Payne 1080p trailer and The Dark Knight 1080p sample.

Please ensure that if you're using the internal filters in MPC-HC that you turn off the corresponding filters in FFDSHOW. Check and post your results.

    *EDIT*

Note the pics. I am seriously too lazy to go edit them over again. Just ensure that in all your settings (START/PROGRAMS/CCCP/FILTERS) in FFDShow VFW Codec Configuration and FFDShow Video Decoder Configuration are set to DISABLED. If not, your system is going to work with the default registered filter which is FFDSHOW. In the settings shown those are what you would use if you are going to have FFDSHOW do the H264 decoding. I'd suggest using the INTERNAL FILTERS in MPC-HC and use DXVA for regular baseline H264 encodes, and for other non-standard encodes (where the playback jitters) use the FFMPEG setting from within MPC-HC's internal filters option. I'll probably edit and add to the tutorial later on.......

Well i went into the stated options... and disabled everything as i think u are saying....

Then when i try to open the vid with H264/AVC (DVXA) selected in the Internal Filters Option i get this error...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    *EDIT*

Then tried a Dark Knight 1080p sample and it didnt give the error.... instead it just went on to play audio alone... no vid..

I went throght the troubleshooting list u gave and did everything except,

i dont know wat is meant to just "Block" the VobSub... In fact i do not see it anywhere to disable...
