    Default Life After Wii

What will the next Nintendo console be like. I think they have the momentum going into the next gen world, probably 2011. MS is no doubt basquing in their success with the 360. Will gaming be like the wii with stuff like a wii mote or nunchucks and will the PC, PS4, or next Xbox follow? Will Nintendo sell their patents for the new controllers mentioned above. Nintendo is a genius. What they did with the Wii is revolutionary. While MS and Sony were busy concentrating on graphics Nintendo was being innovative. Happy for them. Nintendo fan for life!

    What u think?

Yes the Wii is 'revolutionary', but they have no patents to sell. I don't think Sony or M$ will be following because many gamers still prefer controller input. And theres the sixaxis which has motion sensing(though not even close to the extent of the Wii remote) and whereas it has its uses, its not used that much. The innovation has made them money but they are still highly dependent on their first party games to make their console something to consider for many at this point.

Nintendo will ride the wii bandwagon till it pop dung. Releasing new peripherals and updates. probably a Wimote 2 and a harddrive. A totally new UI. By the time dem dung suck it dry they'll be tvs that come with Wiis built into them.

actually given sales figures, nintendo may be jolted into action much sooner, while they went after an entirely new market of (previously) non-gamers, they cant ignore the hardcore market that made the NES through N64 so successful.

Sure, they have great native franchises, but its 2009 now. Everyone who grew up on mario well.....grew up.

    so to me they NEED,

    1) a more powerful console

    2) 3rd party support

    yeah

MS is taking it another level and coming out with Project Natal so Nintendo will have there rival in the long run.

For now Nintendo is one word FUN. we don't have to go into the techy details about graphics and processor speed etc. If you want a console that has the plain ole fun factor to it, just get a wii. Very family oriented.

BTW you have ever tried Grand Slam Tennis Online. Nothing can top that for me now.

Nintendo will soon have to come out with a slightly better control design though. Something that is a little more ergonomically pleasing.

ergonomically pleasing? its basically a remote control with one button, lol, there were going for simplicity.

New Super Mario Bros Wii showed that they have grown up but only to go 4 player. In my case its just a annoying remake.

The wii has third party support, its just that a large portion of the third party games are crapola.
