I played left 4 dead during the free weekends valve had. Its not great, simple as that. I found myself not even caring to play it tho it was free only for a limited time. Same goes for tf2 tho even more ppl are likely to disagree with me there. Ppl like it yes, ppl like the wii also. Ppl like a lot of things, but my standards not going let me play dem tings without slipping into wondering why i am alive and if i really shud be wasting my seconds on this rubbish. Valve is just putting out mods.

M$ fixes it for free for all persons? Tell me the process involved pls for jamaicans IN JAMAICA. Dem pay ur shipping and clearance too?

I will buy a 360 eventually to mod and pirate multiplat games like the rest of u do When i look at what is available it becomes pretty clear that it is not much cheaper than ps3. I need a HD and that alone adds 100 to the price. Then 50 if i want to play online (50$ EACH YEAR)... u ppl must be crazy not to see it. The cost is right there in front of me in my considerations and worse if it ended up RRODing on me.

the first batch of ps3's that came out had issues and sony was like "LOL @ YOU" and charged money to fix it..

Because L4D is the ONLy 360 game right. Sony has every game in the world, and the only title on the 360 is l4d...

360 is getting EVERY game that is a former exclusive. Sony used bully-boy tactics on devs back in the Ps2 ers, and now it coming back.

So.. you rather pay sony for a $400 Blu-ray player and steal M$ games... ROTFL....

So MAG is the greatest FPS ever made ? Even though EVERYONE says it is boring and bland, or Socom can compete with BF2 ?

BF2 is on 360? I never like battlefield games series either :S. It was good but being 1 person in it never made me playing feel important. I hope mag fixes that. I said multiplat games didnt i? what u mean steal M$ games? The 360 isnt getting every game either.

Valve doesn't make games for the PlayStation 3, they only make them for the Xbox 360 and PC, so although some Valve games inevitably do make it on to the PlayStation 3 Valve actually doesn't work on them at all. Instead, the PS3 versions of Valve games are ported by publisher Electronic Arts.

And if you wanted to know why they don't create games for the PlayStation 3 then Valve's Tom Leonard has spilled some answers, doing so quite brutally in a comment to Loot Ninja.

"The PC and the 360 are just more straightforward," claimed Tom, simply. "We can focus on what we want to do, which is make game experiences, instead of sweating bullets over obscure architectural decisions they make with their platform."

"I didn't come into this business in the 90s because of some technical fetish. I came in because I wanted to give people experiences that made them have fun."

So there you have it - a clear explanation of why Valve doesn't work on or support the PS3. Tom doesn't stand alone in his opinion either, with Valve founder Gabe Newell having explicitly hit out at Sony in the past by calling the PlayStation 3 a "a waste of everybody's time". Ouch.

This, combined with the face that EA's PS3 ports of previous Valve titles have met with some technical issues, means that there's unlikely to be a PlayStation 3 version of Left 4 Dead any time soon.

They bought out the cs mod and are selling it. Hl2 episodes... selling them too. Do they make any really new games? their main claim is steam.

Can someone list for me the variety of missions in l4d? or how much variety is in that game in total

The reason is they are not a typical game company. The benefit would outweigh the cost even if they only made a lame conversion but they are a PC game company whose only real innovation was halflife and have been milking it and the engine ever since. Dem cant wrap dem head round ps3 tech just yet.
