    Default Office SP2 offers ODF and PDF support

    Microsoft today released Service Pack 2 for its Microsoft Office suite of productivity software, for the first time supporting Open XML, ODF and Adobe PDF file formats.
    Microsoft promises to play better with others in future

    Been waiting to see how long this would take. Well now its here. Open your PDF files in Word - or something...

    Nice. I just installed office 2007 student version and was using Open Office as my default editor. Now that I have office 2007, I removed Open Office and had a bunch of ODT files left back. Was going to delete them, but this update came at the right time. It opened the files just fine.
