Its amazing how quickly it launches. I had to check my system task manager to see if it ever really does stop running

Ok, I am browsing Techja in Chrome now. It's fast!
    It looks cool too.
One hitch so far, it wouldn't open my Yahoo mail until I went back to the Classic version.
    So far, so good.

I was just about to post about this.

Will post my impressions when I get home.

It seems Google is trying to get its hand in everything huh?

The feature is there under "Options" after clicking on the wrench in the top right hand corner

WOW. I think this is a pretty slick implementation. I like the minimalistic appearance, manipulating bookmarks via drag and drop and right clicking... Love the URL box... All good to me so far.
I will definitely be giving this a serious whirl then make a better post on it.

    Stand Corrected...

I still hold to my first thoughts though, for a web sandbox for TRUE Webapps the memory /taskmanager stuff is a great.

I still want the ability to change the way the icons and buttons are located though.

Want the Operaesque ability to right click on object within a webpage and block them. So I can actually disable the ads or whatever in page content i choose.

    See what I mean ?

They build browser from scratch, like M$ did with NT, but it cannot pass a standards test? Opera has a 83/100 ..Verdict still remains
Chrome = Client Side OS for Cloud/Web Apps.
    Opera/Firefox = Web browsers

    Lightbulb My findings

    My opinion:

    LIKES:

    1. Streamlined *but see below
    2. Easily imported by Firefox bookmarks and even the ones I had placed on the toolbar with my rss feeds were placed appropriately
    3. Love how the tabs seem to come to life and how they can be moved to their own window and put back
    4. I love the task manager and how one tab doesn't affect another should a page be acting up etc. Very cool feature.
    5. Incognito. Cool, but gimmicky. Isn't there already a way to not store history items from your browser? They just made it easy in one click.
    6. Built in security for browsing sites seems well applied
    7. Love how the new tab link shows recently visited pages, bookmarks, rss, pretty much everything. It takes the Opera feature up a couple notches. But can it be set to start as home page?
    8. Instant bookmarks
    9. Simple download feature. Very nice.
    10. Paste & Go (love it from Opera, miss it from Firefox 3)
    11. Snappy performance overall

    DISLIKES:

    1. * While streamlined is good...it does look boring. Opera is the boss here but still looks good.
    2. More customization options needed
    3. I need to be able to see my status bar?
    4. Seems to have some issue visiting sites typed as http:// and only loads pages in http://www. format. I tried with Techjamaica and it had an issue. I tried to load a zshare link (to see if it had it built in to play media files) and the part after .net where the download and id link is get greyed out and I get the Oops! error
    5. It eventually loaded an supload link but it's not perfect yet as the file didn't play (well it later played Myspace after taking a while to load)

    Further findings will be added.

I dont think basing it on Webkit counts as "build browser from scratch".

They claimed it lol..saying they were starting anew...more politricks

The new start page really takes the Opera speed dial to totally new places though. HOWEVER OPera still allows you to fine tune everything about the speed dial , and you cant do tha for Chrome.
