    Default windows shut down when i try to browse

    i have a big problem i need some help whenever i open firefox or internet explorer and try to browse the computer restarts some times i get to browse but as soon as i try to download something computer restarts. what going on anyone knows

    sounds like you have a virus.. do a virus scan.......

    Preferably with a diff AV than the one you using now, cos obviously the virus would have slipped through that one. which AV you using?
    Back to square one....., back off the ground now........

    Di big ugly virus a hide probably in di program file folder.. u need a good antivirus. zone alarm will work..

    Zone Alarm isnt a anti-virus, it has a built in anti-spyware. You can also try AVG, its a free anti virus. Have you tried using Firefox as well?

    Try Simply Super's Trojan Remover. Its a 30 day evaluation copy but it work like a charm.

    i tried zone alrm slowed the hell out of my system. will try the trojan remover when i get home.

    To be honest with you, Mcafee is not good. A lot of virus slip through. i am working on a machine and surprising to know that AVG found 21 threats (virus)...

    My recommendation is to download and install AVG and do a virus scan.

    Do not waste your time trying this and that.....check out AVG.

    The new version of zone alarm 3 in one (firewall, spyware blocker and anti virus) is good. Had that issue and is zone alarm sorted it out stillbut avg is great too
