But i really wonder how will the battery life stand up with this new 3g implimentation, knowing the whole battery issue.

It's been out a while now. I don't see anything that would make me upgrade (unless this one quits)... And the only thing that would make me say yes to upgrading is the improved talk-time (10 hours v the current 8 I'm supposed to be getting).

a cnet comparison article which i have to and search for shows that with 3G the iPhone 3G gives about 4.5 hours, basically it can hold its own against other top 3G phones

Better battery life
GPS (and I will have use for that, driving to home and school)
Bigger (but curvier) case
3G (yeah... like anyone has that out here)
Fixed headphone jack (ok I may have use for that)
