The blue portion is each browsers' memory use when first started, and the red extensions their size (according to Windows Task Manager) with those same eight tabs above opened. Again, few people will have eight tabs open, but I scaled it to see where the differences lie. I wanted to double-check Firefox's night-and-day improvement, so I closed and launched it again. This time, it was using 117MB—not a slim amount, but a still marked improvement over its peers. Of course, if you do have memory to spare, both Safari and Opera, as seen higher up, can put it to quick-footed use.
when comparing things it's kinda unfair to compare beta with a stable version. look at the stat's he gained above.

Since you guys want to debate these 2 browsers, I moved it into it's own thread.

O, Just add to the fact that for mozilla to really be a 'browser' u need the world of addons, where opera can run right outta the hat..
Theres no addon that i know that decrease load times or memory usage

and the problem is now that FF just release most plug ins don't work ...just updated mine today and about 6 plug ins get disabled...not FF fault but it would have been nice to have a backward compatibility with it.

I like FF so far but the history of your previous sites kinda scared me the first time i saw it....has additional info now...shows the title of the page as well as the link

hey.... freewill... you always have a choice .... i ain't barking down ur tree to use Firefox.

Tests performed by PC World and Zimbra indicate that Firefox 2 uses less memory than Internet Explorer 7.[113][122] Firefox 3 uses less memory than Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, and Firefox 2 in tests performed by Mozilla, CyberNet, and The Browser World.

well 1 feature i like about the new FF is the fact that u can save what ur doing before u close it. usually i normally keep firefox open and shutdown my machine so it will ask me to start with the previous session whenever i boot it up again. well fidnt have much plugins installed, but it disabbled one of them when i installed it too.

well i did not have to w8 on a test to show that IE uses the most memory of all the Browsers
IE is the only browser that moves slow on my machine

Opera prompts yu to resume yur previous sessionz all the time....... It givez yu 2 more optionz too. No matter if yu cloze the browser yurself or windows cloze it 4 yu on Shutdown. It savez yur last pagez, even if yu have a powercut!
