I am trying to get into website designing and i need to know some software that can be used.
I am good at graphics, kinda can use Marco Studio 8 for designing flash, but i need to know some free site hosting ips or website whatever, the whole works.
I use to use Adobe go live in High School long time ago & it wasn't simple, tell me if they have simple program everything, TechJ moderators any help would be appreciated.

dreamweaver is easy to use.....a manual is even out there for it...Did you try any of the stuff from joe joe site? but if u wan something you give a baby go to start---run and type notepad

Try it. If you plan to work as a web designer in a professional environment knowing how to work with Dreamweaver is going to definately be an asset.

I do not recommend that people get too caught up in choosing tools to work with before they get the basics down. Do you know HTML? If not, www.webmonkey.com is a good place to start. Learn how to code a simple page by hand first before becoming dependent on the drag and drop tools inside these programs. Nothing beats being able to flip to code view and fix a problem whenever WYSIWIG starts screwing around.

if ur creating a simple website, no flashy stuff, i recommend front-page, dreamweaver is more for advance stuff, it is pretty easy to use as there are built-n,l one-click add customizations. A free alternative is kompozer. html is probably one of, if not the easiest language to learn.
