Every Techie MUST have a MiniPE boot disk and a Kubuntu and Ubuntu disk.
MOST utilz you need will be on these disks and for what they dont have (or for what u dont know how to use), just use them to browse and find stuff on the internet and fix ANY problem...

Most ppl dont know how dangerously powerful these things are... I will say no more...

I like FileHippo. Helps you keep your apps up to date by reminding you of updates with direct download links.

Recently came across SBM (Smart BootManager). Necessity required it - had an old Compaq 5000 that I needed to boot with Win2K but had problems while doing so. SBM allowed me to load the program from the floppy then boot direct from the CD-ROM drive. Handy tool for older machines. Only drawback is that you have to make the floppy from the command prompt. I may just upload the image online if I get permission from the persons.

Another good looking tool is -> http://rescup.winbuilder.net/bootdisk/ <- but I couldn't get that to do what I wanted. It was also through that project that I found out about SBM.

Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".

Some of these are linked to the software site itself and others are linked to discussions on the forum.

    All in one applications
    Wininternals (free)
    Hiren's BootCD (free)
    UltimateBootCD (free)

Ultimate Boot CD has saved me a few times. I have a stand alone UBCD disc, as well as a standalone disc of Clonezilla, and another of GParted. The later I don't use because they are both included in UBCD which is better. Sometimes I need to use both and switch between them. UBCD allows that.
Let's act on what we agree on now, and argue later on what we don't.
