That why hirens boot CD has like 10 programs for file recovery

My friend says he has done the system restore and it worked for him ! So i'll allow him to go ahead and try that. If it doesn't work then I'll try Hiron's Boot Cd

    So What's next...suggestions....anybody?

ok i cant help much as to where recovering the files is concerned but im jus explaining smmn bout sys restore it does not recover deleted data at all wat it can do is installed programs like for example i install adobe reader today and do a restore for yesterday adobe is gone and if i install it today and delte tomorrow i soppposed to can do a sys restore and get it back works for viruses too but it does not delete or recover data it also depends on the amount of space allocated to sys restore and it sopposed to affect data on desktop i have never come across an instance like that b4 those deleted files now hmm try those programmes the good helpers mentioned
