well thought i would find out what the general thoughts were on my fellow techies minds regarding XP SP3 since it has been out for awhile now with much time to test. Personally i have been using XP SP3 on my work and home PC and i dont even notice a difference in operations or functionality. Does anyone have any ills since upgrading to SP3 e.g. system crashes and such

I had to downgrade to SP2 after some Zune issues.

Still my favourite version of the OS but there comes a time when one must move on. Earlier this year I was still using Win2K on my main rig but I was starting to feel boxed in because of not being able to run certain newer apps. So, I slipstreamed the SP3 service pack into my XP Pro install disk, performed a clean install on a new drive and haven't looked back since.

The practical advantage to doing a clean install with SP3 is that you don't waste nearly as much time with the OS downloading and installing patches and hotfixes.
