Good to know that bmobile has all these features but can i ask y they keep these things such a big secret b/c i havent seen any of these being advertised in the media like digi has been doing
Yawn....oh bwoy....I find that these SMS features are a waste of time....why didn't they do something like digicel...in the dial format....Cho!!! C&W always tend to go the wrong path with certain things.
Most times when I check my balance via SMS on Bmobile...I get some messages saying problems with the network or something like that. Not only checking the balance, but other SMS features usually have a problem. Good thing I don't even use a Bmobile anymore...ever since last year November. Proud to be #1 with Digicel....lol
What might be interesting enough is....in the case you don't remember your number or you want to spy on someone's phone to get their #....you can text "who am I" to 124.
I doubt digicel has that kind of feature...not sure...why call from that person phone to your phone when you wouldn't know if the person set the setting to hide the #. At least it worth a try to dial u'r #.

Unfortunately, they're not good at advertising and promoting their nice features.
I'd still give bmobile a chance though - they're trying to adapt and change
from the old monopoly days. They'll be a leaner and meaner machine soon
I think.
It's "whoami" to 124 and it's free.
It is essentially for those people who don't remember their 10 digit
phone number when they go for topup at a dealer location. It helps
prevent mistakes.
It's definitely not for spying or anything - and how will you spy
unless you get hold of someone's phone in which case you can
just go to the settings and find out the number or call yourself.
Digicel does have that whoami thing, just press *129# and the number will come up

Jamjamaica....i didn't say anything about paying for each text sent to 124. I know it is free. When I said spy...I meant, getting a hold of someone's phone to get their #.
Also, what if it is a case where you are in a hurry....who would have the time to check the setting...plus not everyone know where to go in the phone....cuz with new phones like Coral...Konka...not everybody will know where to find the settings to allow "showing of number".
Back to "calling yourself"....as I said....the owner of the phone could change the setting to prevent number showing. And again, who have time to check setting, if he or she is trying the get the # fast.
