Perhaps my guessculation was a bit off. The rate of signups has not passed my expected four per day. Even at that rate it would take 30 days to achieve the 2000 mark. So, I guess Chris may right with the new mark.Originally Posted by digitalchef

now that i consider it. look at the amount of people who have internet access in ja. and then the amount of techies who have internet access versus the amount of people who are on tech ja. we have a pretty good percentage.
I was wonder what can be done to attract the rest of techies in jamaica. Especially those from the rural country who don't know about it and feel sey jamaica is a back-a-bush island
well i think we better leave it to word of mouth, it has worked so far. and one "town" techie must know a "country" techie and the "country" techie will tell others
yup, continue the word of mouth approach. As meggido pointed out, it has worked well so far, so let's continue it until we've exhausted it.

I joined somewhere between 500 & 1000 members, just buck-up the site one day & became hooked.
Word of mouth is good but the membership is not limited to Ja. There are many of us all over.
I feel a poll coming on...
BTW
How many Active members have we got in 1500 registrations?

I'm not sure what you would consider an active member to be, but 854 members have made at least 1 post.Originally Posted by pradere

active member=visited/posted within the last 30 days. Isnt it amazing that there were less than 2000 members around the start of 2005 and today, in the 3rd month of 2006 we have 4,217.
