Default Dress Code: How do you dress for an IT job?

How do you all dress for work for people who are in IT?

My company just recently changed the dress code. before we had to wear dress pants, shirt and tie, then dress down on fridays but now them drop the tie. and no more casual fridays.

Anyways, although IT is a technical field. It is still a profession, which should require persons for behave professional.

This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking; where it is absent, discussion is apt to become worse than useless.

well if you want to see 200lb overweight women in shorts .... i guess it would depend on the company, if it was a client based company like call centers then formal ware is a must. a Company like mine, Non-Profit, a little more casual about there dress code. as a matter of fact when i first started working here i use to ware dress shirt and pants, and my manager was laughing at me and telling me i don't have to wear that here...3days into the job, blue jeans and tshirt with lugs shoes

at my old job working in a datacenter. The man dem use to wear hoody and jeans come work. you would think a party dem a go. but considering how cold that place was i dont blame them. it was so cold in that room that if you had a drink and you put it down for too long if you no mind it freeze. they had AC blowing out of the floor, ceiling and walls.
