    Default computer crashed

    my comp crashed
i think its a hardware malfunction
    im using an
Albatron mother board (not sure of the model but similar to Albatron K8X800)
    Samsung 120gb hdd
    1Gb (2x512) DDR 400 memory
    GeForce 6200 Graphics card
    2 lite-on CD drives, 1 combo DVD-Cd burner and DVD/CD burner

i disconnect everything and reconnect them back, though it was my disc drive because i heard some low clicking near the drive, so i disconnect it, restart comp, but clicking there still, held the hard drive in my hand and heard some low-low-low clicking, also im hearing the some low clicking from the motherboard or the power supply, not sure which 1.

its probably my mother board since i noticed that my bios is not loading, even when i disconnect the harddrive, which might have gone bad.

but since i have no idea of what is going on, im here sourcing some assistance , seeing if any1 might give some assistance on what i going on with my sysyem.

oo i was trying to reload xp on my hdd but each time it is inspecting the hdd the com shuts down and reboot. (nb this was before the above)

    HELPPP!!!!

im gonna assume that you normally get a beep when you turn it on and seeing that you not getting that now it could be a dead processor

try clearing your cmos by removing the cmos jumper and putting it on back or taking out the cmos battery........take out your cpu, memory and all expansion cards and reseat them ....check to see that your bios is also properly seated....pull out the power cord from the back of the pc then plug in back in then boot up and see wat happens. U can also try testing the power supply or swapping wit a known good one.

if the power supply was bad, would it distribute power to the comp still?
i cleared cmos once last night, but that was before the prob started. dont think its possible for me to take processor since it so hard to take out

A lack of post beeps indicates a processor problem or a motherboard problem. I noticed u did not specify which processor u have. I had a weird problem once, where i had a dual core AMD opteron, where one core went bad and it rebooted the windows installation on detection of the processor.

Yes, a bad psu can still sometimes power the system but failure is imminent. You have two sticks of 512 ram, try booting the system with each module individually.
