Yes, I'd send in my resume
No, I would not respond
I don't know
I would repond anonymously too.
I have seen something similar happen here in Jamaica.
This is true, however, if I were a job seeker, I would feel a little more comfortable if at least the company placed the ad through a recognized, reputable recruitment firm instead of asking me to send my details to a P.O. box. I know of companies who recruit though establishments such as PWC, KPMG, JobBank, etc. and have them place the ads on their behalf. This way, at least job seekers have a little more assurance that their info is not being sent to a nefarious entity for shady purposes.
that ones simple. no, because i would never and have never applied for a job using a p.o. box. i have to admit, i barely know what that is.Originally Posted by bck

Definately not, that seem like joke thing and quite unprofessional
Shhhh!I see dead people!

That is foolishness. If a company can't tell who they are while they are interviewing you, how will they deal with you when you are actually employed? What else will they keep from you? If you are willing to put up with something so ridiculous just to get the job, then what else will you fall for or tolerate after you get the job? What else can they get away with?
Employment is a two way agreement. Both parties need to have their interests protected.
Definitely not BUT almost 40% of the advertisements are not disclosing the name of the employer and that seems very weird.
Things like a "well known telecoms firm" or "well known banking institution"
MEANWHILE, the well known telecommunications and banking institutions readily state their names soooo....
lol CashP come to mind
I guess some companies have to seem unprofessional about it. Can never tell who spying for who..
Cuz most of these "big companies" hire and fire ppl very quickly, who knows what valuable info they might have left with. So i can see big companies doing this
Also, another think to note when sending resumes to anonymous companies' P.O. Boxes, please remember that just because the ad says "Kingston 8", it means that the job is in Kingston 8. People tend to make that assumption and it is a wrong one.
