And it is called stealing. It is stealing of a persons intellectual property.
If you would like to call it something less harsher, software piracy is one term or infringing on the licenses stipulated by the EULA that comes with the software.
Whatever the legal terms may be, it's illegal and it's wrong.
What other reasons are there that people use to downplay the reality that what they are doing is wrong?
