K i'm youngish @ 21 but i've long left the tech scene through school and a less tech savvy set of friends.

I would like to think i'm back now, i'm through wid school and just invested some funds in a new rig.

I'm out of the loop, so i don't know where to find the latest on whats happening, I'm also a bit nostalgic as the best games i think were gta san andreas and nfs u2 and nfs porsche unleashed.

I tried the crysis demo and it runs ok so i guess my investment was not bad for someone who dived in completely ignorant.

But still i made some mistakes as i bought 4 gigs of ram to find out xp will only see 2.8gigs so in effect 1 entire chip is useless

Well i will suggest u run vista 64 bit or xp 64bit for those other 2gig to be recon.....
well yea u have missed out on some good games but now ur back
first on ur list to get is cod4. fifa 08 have a blast with those games first crises next.

it wont work with no 32bit application so vista 32 is out also.

Hmm, my XP sees 3.5 GB. Something must be sharing the rest of your memory...

In any case, COD4 running things right now for Shooters.
Crysis is a nice single player to go through. I've yet to beat it myself.
Here are some other good FPS if your interested.
Bioshock, UT3, Team Fortress 2,

Gears of war and Lost Planet Extreme Condition(3rd person) are pretty good also.

Somehow, Prostreet although the handling sucks is still piquing my interest mainly due to drag races and car selection. It's awesome in that aspect.

Those are some top stuff out if your interested in any.

Get a nice 64bit sytem atleast 2gig ddr2. COD$ is a must game to play & beat. By the way wat type of games u used to play? wats the last game u beat?

My Mobo is non integrated so i don't think nothing else is being shared.

A Gigabyte mobo (nuh memba the whole heep a numba dem but sli in it)
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
Kingston 4GB DDR2 800MHZ
XFX Geforce 8600 GT 512MBGDDR3
120GB Seagate 7200 PATA (soon to be replaced with a bigger sata drive as i wasn't going to take the risk of importing a hard drive through a courier)
Liteon 20X DVDRW
Samsung 19" wide display
