Anyway, I see u finally started your own thread T-Zero. That's good. Now so far that board looking good. Coming from wanting a HP blackbird though, I see it as a huge waste to get a 8600GT to put in the system. Get a nice solid 8800 Series. The GT is still hard to come by, but the new G92 GTS are a little better for a little more money. I'd get two if you can afford it. (You should be able to if you wanted a Blackbird).
AS for RAM, go with nothing less than 4GB. I say stick with 2gb x 2. 1gb x 4 is old school now. Should be able to get a nice pair for under 100 bucks now. Gskill works fine for me, but i don't mind Corsair or Kingston. I usually go for price and reviews for ram selection. 4-4-4-12 timings should sum up your ram choice.

Processor-wise I think that looks like an Intel board. Didn't really check. WHat you planning to go with Quad or Dual core?

so me go work today feeling all excited bout getting the board, see me co-worker and asks him if his link ( his fren) get the board, the man a tell me sey no not yet cause him credit gone bad, and some other stuff bout the bank freeze this and that, i feel so frig up cause me looking to get the damm board by this saturday, now when me tell him sey me naw bother with it, him a tell me him can refer me to someone else, mi just tell him to forget it, i will wait till next week when i get my visa card

it surprised me about the whole us and canada shopping thing. canada mek it restrictive to shop cross the border cause if they make it too easy no one would ever buy anything in canada, maybe only food. but everything else typically 25% more than here. maybe thats a generalization but its generally more. it'd be easier if you got them to ship it to a us address of a friend or something. then they can just mail it US Post. I've done that before just put its a gift on the customs form that you fill out when mailing it. it wouldnt be worth it to save $5 but to save $5o it might be worth it. TZero in the whole GTA you dont have a good computer parts superstore? I've never been to Toronto so I dont know. But I guess Futureshop isnt it.

I have only heard good things about the Blood Iron. DFI boards usually are tweakable no end. Nforce 790i? I dunno. Sure you have some people in the 4Ghz club who will use them but I suspect that you'll also find a lot of P35 and X38 boards.

the mouse look gimmicky. likkle more money you could get a 20" or maybe 22" if u stretch. makes ur viewing experience much better IMO. i'd get the Nine Hundred, no shortage of cooling power in that case. i guess since ur getting an nvidia card u might do SLI in the future in which case the board choice pretty much chooses itself. i see thermal paste but no cooler? ur going to use the stock cooler? if ur going to spend real money on a psu get a name brand. pc power and cooling, ocz, corsair. you cant spend real money for a no name. and the reviews for that psu arent that great.

Take it from me the ultra aluminus is wicked sick light.... frys has the case but with a 500watt power supply which is actually not bad.... i running 3 hard drives, 1 burner, 1 8800gts and an x2 4600+ on it... 12 volt only drops to 12.05 under gaming and startup is at 12.51 (windows)...
