I'm middle management. What pisses me off is persons know whats to be done or not done and doing the opposite, AND trying to justify the foolishness and after following protocol and cautioning the persons several times in the privacy of my office not having the Management back me up when action is to be taken. So I must improve productivity, with crappy attitude and no managerial support and come out smelling the high heavens when I'm done. And they wonder why I drink.

offer them more money and they'll do more - proven

And just a little more incite on the systems in use...they had 2 T1 lines, using Data and Voice, at certain times of the year they would get an excess of 10K calls a day...they eventually got another T1 line to help spread the bandwitdh
I get you.. im guessing these systems u work with use gigabit ethernet too?

All of the other points settled, so i guess i can now rest easy..

Tell me about it. Plus I'm very meticulous and that something one has to be in my field, you'd expect that form workers who know, but not all my people act like they do.

I wish that was the case, I tried that (one of the things I pushed to upper management)...worked for a few months then you can guess what happened next...they want more money.

Nope surprisingly no giga bit, I'm guessing that there switches where not gigia bit.

    5. Mother Deafness. Psychologists tell us that new moms can become so accustomed to a crying baby that after a while they don’t even here the crying any more. They tune it out to reduce stress. Same thing happens on the job. If the boss regards you as someone who’s always ragging about the same issues, she’s going to stop listening. She may be there physically, looking like she’s engaged; but she’s already tuned you out. Figure out a new way to get the message across without looking like a broken record.

What if your boss is just an arrogant, ignorant person who wouldn't know right from left if it came up and painted it on the underside of their eyelids?
