I am using my Windows desktop PC as a Media server to stream music, video and photos to my PS3 using Tversity. But that is a whole different topic. This thread is about setting up Linux on the PS3 itself.

So, after getting Linux on my PS3, Sony goes and kills it with their anti-piracy firmware update. That upset a lot of people. Bye bye Linux on PS3 ... until now ...

This is the same dude who hacked the Microsoft Kinect 3 hours after he got it at launch in Europe, to get it to work with a PC running Linux.

Then again maybe I'll just wait on it. The concept seems similar to using the Blackberry Custom OS 6 on the BB 9550
